I seriously doubt it, a lot of the work they are doing sounds like it is stuff we don't really see (or can see) anyway.

I image there'll be a patch through ED's updater (obviously), but containing only MiG stuff. I also imagine it coming this week.

 

That would be good. Because now when I'm flying this plane I have real problem with FPS.

in addition to graphic issues you mentioned (polys, materials etc..) are there some related Systems fps drop you are working on ? I' ve seen many stutters when switching on Systems as battery, radar, engine start and others.. Even before a stall sometimes i have a freeze.

I hope LN push the model (aka fps killer) update asap. It doesn't need to be perfect now, even if the optimisation is 50% from target it is still worth to push it out. We can't use this module on our squad nights because some users experience 10 fps when you spawn 6+ aircrafts. And we would like to spawn 20+.. :)

Simply put. There are multiple system configurations involved.

Especially the ATI users or people with "older" PCs (more than 4 years or so) have those problems. I notice the FPS is worse than normal (especially timewarp>8 ), but still well playable. Others have a huge lag fest.

For me, being in the vicinity of several other 21s makes it unplayable.

 

My system is about 4 years old, but until recently, I still thought of it as an ok machine. GPU update coming, though!

DCS is strange; the 1.2.8 saw performance drops and increases for different people.

I dunno, I can usually fly with a full flight of 4 with only minimal issues (all of us dying simutaniously from AMRAAMs causes a minor hit in FPS). However, I rarely fly MP so I can't comment on that.

No real FPS issues here ATI/AMD HD7850 2gb, i have witnessed some nvidia users with some FPS problems so it's not hardware specific - also see the screenshot below, this has to be a big reason for the FPS problems many encounter (lod2 and lod3 should be alot smaller)

Yeah, I remarked on that on release day. Hopefully it's fixed in the next patch.
