aeliusg
Vizio P-Series set to come out 9/29: http://www.slashgear.com/vizios-p-series-4k-tvs-surface-ahead-of-debut-18347104/ http://www.vizio.com/tvs/pseries.html GTX 980 and 970 available at $549.99 and $329.99 respectively, as of today: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/maxwell-architecture-gtx-980-970 The Vizio 50" at $999 and GTX 900 series look like a good combination for 4K at 60 hz with HDMI 2.0. The new P-series has Full-Array Local Dimming (FALD) as opposed to being edge-lit, but for PC use you'll probably want to disable it to minimize image processing and hence input lag. For some reason there are two 50" models for the same price of $999, the model ending with -E being worse than the other with 120 hz vs 240 hz and 16.7 million colors vs 1.07 billion, so be careful you don't end up with the gimped one (looks like it might be for cheaper retailers, IDK). No 3D however. If you're looking to get a new video card and/or a new display, this is a good time. Previously you would be limited to running at 30 hz, unless you shelled out for the few and expensive TVs that had Displayport in addition to HDMI 2.0. aeliusg
OK, now some manufacturers might not be including HDMI 2.0 support:https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/777174/geforce-900-series/hdmi1-4-on-gtx-980-cards/ I would hold off until all of this new release stuff is sorted out. aeliusg
This is the latest on the HDMI 2.0 issue: It's included, at least by MSI. 4k60 with the Vizio still hasn't been done yet AFAIK, there are some issues. Also 4:4:4 chroma full RGB hasn't been confirmed either on any HDMI 2.0 display that I know of. It'll probably take a couple of weeks to sort all of this out. :megalol:
