Hey guys,

Just wanted to pop in and tell you I really enjoyed the new video!

Did the 259th Auxiliary replace the huskies to allow for more airframes/tasks?

I hope to see more of your operations in the future.

All the best,

Derk

Hello Derk!

Thank you for your feedback on the video!

Yes, the 259th is a new squadron flying the MI-8 and have replaced the huskies. With the 259th it brings in new missions that can be flown on our events.

Neck,

Couple things. First, my sincere apologies for the, "Hey, I'll help with this and that and the other, ref. The AWACS/ATC docs and then dropping off the project. Work/life got crazy as can happen, but I should have posted on there that I couldn't give it the time I originally hoped to.

Second, are you all still flying joint events on some Saturdays? I really enjoyed the time I flew one of those. Would love to try again, or even JTAC, we've been practicing our Check-ins and 9 lines.

Third, if you are still doing the open events... Still using UR or have you guys made the switch to SRS? I finally convinced my crew to use a radio program thanks to the ease of SRS and the need to not use a TS plugin... just curious.

4th, great Virtual Squadron you've made, man. The way the 132nd runs their missions has always been my goal to continue to strive towards with the vVFA-2.

Take care,

Sage

Thank you! We work hard to create a immersive and fun multiplayer environment for the 132nd and all external organizations that want to fly and participate on combat and training events with us.

Thrid, if you are,

First, thank you for your kind words!

1. No problem at all. We have developed a doctrine document and various other documents that we will be releasing to the public in not a very distant future (All docs are of course availeble on the 132nd website for external organizations attending our events).

2. Yes we still have combined events, and external organizations have a standing invitation to attend our events in order to create a great immersive environment with many different organizations, participants.

We host events at wednsdays and sundays at 1900Z.

On wednsdays we ar conducting trainings, and on sundays we are either doing combat events or advanced trainings (like the video about air assault training shown a couple of posts above).

Details and signup on the event page on the 132nd website (flights can be added to suit certain needs).

3. Yes, we still use a radio plugin. We use UniversRadio as it fits our needs as a organization with ATC, AWACS and JTAC's in addition to the various aircrafts.

Here is another video from my POV recorded during Operation Georgian Thunder Mission 14. (Flown the 29th January 2017)

I act as escort flight lead (EFL) in package ALPHA and we are tasked to do an air assault on SOCHI-ADLER.

I linked the mission planning that was compiled by the flight leads of package ALPHA in the link below to provide you with some context of what is going on.

Mission planning PDF: http://bit.ly/2klPO6p

The action starts at roughly

but I do recommend to watch from the start to get the "full 132nd experience".

Mistakes were made but we go the job done and we do hope you find this entertaining. :smilewink:

More details regarding flights etc can be found in the shownotes of the video.

I have been considering this for quite a while and doing so I paid your website (and especially the recruiting section) several visits. But my squadron of choice, the Dambusters is currently not recruiting.

You can always sign up and hang around our forums and TS to get to know people and read up on documents. We will make sure to assign you to the desired squadron once they take trainees again.

Our previous class of Trainees are about to graduate to MQT status. We will open our doors for 2 new Trainees for the 617th, which is our A10-C squadron.

If flying the A-10C among a group of friends in a COOP based multiplayer environment with active squadrons of ATC/AWACS, JTACs, Mi-8 and Ka50s interests you, click on my banner and check us out.

Requirements:

you can be a complete beginner, but in the end, we want to teach you our procedures and tactics, not how to click the buttons in the correct order or how to start your jet or align your EGI. This you should practice offline. Once you are ready to get your bird into the air however, you are welcome to join us. We will first teach you communications with ATC, maneuvers and formations/transitions during Initial Qualification Training.

Once completed, you will work on the weapons training until ready for MQT check out.

This will then qualify you to fly combat missions with us up to large events with several squadrons.

We have training Wednesdays at 1900z and advanced training (so our IPs can get a rest and hone their own skills) or Combat events on Sundays 1900z.

The only thing we ask you is that during your training you should be able to log in about once every 2 weeks, is all we ask. That only ensures that Trainees dont block the slots for future trainees by sitting on the roster being inactive. After you are MQT there is no time commitment and you fly only when you have time. We all have family and jobs too, so RL is first we understand that as much as you do.

If you want to hear more about the 132nd, go check out our youtube channel

Hey, do you restrict your members to the flags on your logo? Or are you open to other countries?

Hello Blue Angel, we have members from all over Europe, Im from Germany :)

we dont mind where you are located, as long as you can fly in Euro evening timezone (we start our trainings at 1900 ZULU time), and as long as your ping to our server is ok

For the A-10C Sqd, recruitment just closed as we have all trainee slots occupied at this time.
