Exorcet
I don't even know how he can say that straight faced. I don't know why he use wing loading as some kind of accurate comparison either, but even then he fails F-35 > 63.3 lb/ft^2 F-16 > 63 That's empty, and given that the F-35 is heavier, 1 pound of extra load will hurt it less than the F-16. SkateZilla
This video has been posted everywhere, A. Sprey did not design the F-16 nor the A-10. B. A 50's MIG-21 would have been shot down before it even detected the F-35. as for not turning and weight. I've seen the F-35B Fly in person, it can turn fine. The lift fan prolly weighs less than the fuel cells that were removed to make room for the lift fan. 7rooper
Yes but the cells are full of fuel that will be useful for the entire flight instead that lift fan becomes a useless weight one the plane is not hovering My rig specs: Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR

mvsgas
There are a dozen or more threads with different versions of the video. This has been going on for years now. A 50's MIG-21 would have been shot down before it even detected the F-35. Not only that, AFAIK his vision of F-16 was a simple aircraft without any radar, only able to carry short range IR missiles. The final version was not to his liking. And he was also againts the F-15 because, in his opinion, the aircraft just had too many 'gadgets'... mjmorrow
Hmmm, even close in, the cockpit flat panel displays of the F-35 look so super user friendly and super automated that a F-35 pilot could probably get well inside the OODA loop of his or her Mig-21 pilot adversary and kill the Mig driver ten times over, before the Mig driver could respond in any useful fashion. Just look how user friendly the F-35B seems in this video, below! I bet F-35 pilots utterly love their ride. The cockpit puts a smile on my face. Ha the F-35 is required to be able to work in a Nuclear environment - being EMP resistant is a requirement by design.
