Cobra847 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 There is a minor calculation issue currently present. Fix in progress. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
OverStratos Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Ok, I have read these thread and to be clear. In real life the MiG-21Bis can use radar ranging to hit an air target with cannons, but only if that target is maneuvering up to 3Gs, albeit the procedure is a bit complex. When the target is maneuvering harder than that then the fixed piper gyro setting (300m) is used. At least series A and K have this feature. Another thing is how LNS want to simulate this, or what are the possibilities to make it. I´m for all realism, but I guess some commitments must be made.
Harle Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Another thing is how LNS want to simulate this, or what are the possibilities to make it. What are you asking it for? The feature has already been implemented. Only the aim is innacurate because of some calculation errors.

I´m not asking for anything, relax man.:) I just read the thread and it gave me the impression that there where doubts about how it is in real life. Be sure that I´m going to test the new features with manual in hand to see how far they went.
BadHabit Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I've encountered very big offsets in the "ccip" calculations while bombing using fab100x4 and fab250. ex. The pipper shows an offset to the left relative to the fix-net,I release and the bombs are falling a the exact offset but to the other direction, on the right. qqQ Posted June 16, 2016 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Manual Rangefinding by Setting Target Wingspan and then framing it with the Pipper diamonds seems broken in v1.5.3.52379, although it is described in the LN Manual. The Pipper simply doesnt change its size when manipulating Range with the Twist Grip. All switches set as in the Manual (page 133). It also does not when using range provided by the Radar. Is the gunsight finished anyways or is it going to be overworked in the future (CCIP solution for Bombs/Rockets etc., above described rangefinding)? Just asking.
