[NO BUG] SPRD failed to start once equipped after system on

Just tried to equip the SPRD after engine and system already ON.

 

Then after SPRD being equipped, turning on the SPRD start and drop power switches does not make SPRD automatically start once the speed of mig-21 is over 150km/h.

 

 

[update] But if I switched on the 2 switches, then turned off and turned on again, the SPRD can automatically start once speed reaches the threshold.

From safety point of view: first the jettison than the power switch.

 

PS: SPRDs are working well, but booster time is to short.

I read that the original was boosting for 10 to 18 seconds.

I guess the rocket pods are supposed to jettison automatically once they are off and the release switch is on? I'm yet to succeed in dropping the boosters, they just keep hanging on my belly. :/

You need to jettison them yourself - it works with the same button as you would release flares.

You need to activate the SPRD systems just prior to take off. Basically me and some friends discovered that will fire if:

 

1. Are activated after all other system are started.

2. SPRD are activated after the JATO was fitted on the plane not activated then used the Rearm feature to mount them on.

3. If unsure you need to stop SPRD JATO systems and restart them prior to take of run.

 

They failed several times only to start in flight after pressing manual start and then restarting the systems from RV panel.
