Well that should just be the Nevada map, not dcs 2.0 pre alpha proper correct?

Correct. My mistake. However, I don't recall anything being said about a public Alpha release of DCS 2.0 at all, just NTTR.

You cant have the Nevada Map without 2.0 that I know of, so that means those people would get in early on 2.0 as well... least that is my assumption. After that, 2.0 would go to Beta, and I assume all others could purchase the map.

Not sure but it seems to be less shiny then before. Baybe it was just deactivated for better performance or something like that?!

Active Duty F-86s were not mirror finished/polished.

Remember, us = those who bought the A-10C when it was in Beta.

Does anyone know when the A-10C left beta? I honestly don't remember if it was still in beta when I bought it, and can't find the answer anywhere.

This is not true. Unlike more recent modules, the A-10C shows as "DCS: A-10C Warthog (download version)" regardless of whether or not it was in beta when you purchased it.

Here is the press release for the DCS: A-10C official release: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/press_releases/TFC_ED_A-10C_Press_Release.pdf

any purchases prior to the date in that press release (February 21, 2011) were made during beta.

I did, it didnt say. It just said Europe 1944 but not any planes in particular. Nor did it mention the timeline for it.

The statement I quoted is from the DCS World 2.0 section. It means that if the plane is out now, which both of those mentioned by you are, that it will work in 2.0. The timeline for the map is another issue and not related to whether the aircraft will 'be available' in DCS World 2.0.

Yes, everything currently available (and everything upcoming) will be in DCS 2.0 for no additional cost if you have already paid for said modules.

I'm a bit confused as to what they are releasing as an Alpha right now. Are we going to get DCS World 2 as part of a patch and then get Nevada as an Alpha later? Or are we getting DCS Word 2 and Nevada at the same time as an Alpha build?

They havent really stated exactly what they are doing, but I would assume that the Alpha release will be of 2.0 and NTTR. But I suppose its possible 2.0 gets released as Open Beta and NTTR as closed Alpha... but i am just guessing.

It has not been officially confirmed yet, but my guess is we will get DCS world 2.0 for current terrain then NTTR a little later assuming no huge bugs found.

I live near a US Marine Corp base. The vibrations are usually caused by artillery practice. :P

Be optimistic guys, and trust me, once you get your own hands on DCS World 2.0 and the Nevada map, you will see that all the time waiting has definetly been worth it, and it shows. It seriously looks amazing with all the bells and whistles.
