VincentLaw
DCS is not likely to have playable infantry for a very long time, if ever.DCS already has playable MANPADS (added with CA 1.5), and I expect them to improve with the upcoming skeleton infantry animations for DCS 2.0. I hope they give the ability to easily mod in infantry units. I'd take a shot at it my self TBH. joebloggs
Couple of questions. 1) How is it that with the current map you look as though you are doing about 10mph through the air. Yet with DCS 2, it looks like you are going much much faster? I have good FPS in DCS as it is so I'm curious to know why it feels slow. 2) Has DCS 2 delayed the World War 2 Sim that I read about some time ago now? I remember reading that the World War 2 map was going to be released last year, so have the delays in DCS World 2 prevented them from releasing this World War 2 Sim? The more features the ground offers, the more reference your eyes have, the better they are able to judge distance and speed. 2) Has DCS 2 delayed the World War 2 Sim that I read about some time ago now? The project basically fell apart and had to be taken over by ED. I think some of Ilyas goals were overly ambitious to begin with, however there is good progress on the aircraft front. The Normandy map is scheduled to come out some time after the planes are done, IIRC. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives! ED Team NineLine Posted March 15, 2015 ED Team Share Posted March 15, 2015 now im quite curious... will the Strait of Hormuz map be released when 2.0 comes out? I believe they are still in the building stages of that map, although they are quite far along, I think it will be after the release of 2.0. Sierra99
I have a question and a request... First, I'm curious if the NAVAIDS commonly used in relation with NTTR are going to be modeled? Not just Nellis etc but beaty, Indian springs etc... Second, how hard would it be to have random civil radio traffic play when you tune up an actual Oakland or Los Angeles frequency?
