We need the upcoming Alpha/Beta to really put it through its paces I am sure... it will be better, but dont expect that there wont be some work that needs done once we all get in there and really push it... drcarnage52
Apparently the L39 will be released with a new update called DCS 1.5. This will include EDGE but not the NTTR map. I'm assuming this will coincide with the release of the VEAO P-

I do wonder if the plan is to have NTTR launch as an open alpha for those that purchased A10C beta at the same time as DCSW 1.5? These are some truly exciting times coming. KaspeR32
DCS 1.5 in September? Finally a release date. Looking forward to it. I'm curious if 1.5 will have the unified exe and other improvements for mission editor. I'm sure he'll address that during the stream this weekend. I'd wager a fresh install is the way to go if you want to play it safe. The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of. SkateZilla
Regardless,, Me personally, I'd have 1.2.xxxx and 1.5 separate as I have friends that refuse to upgrade (hardware and Operating System, still on a pre DX11 GPU, and Windows XP)., lol, Same reason I still run 1.1.1.1 Edited July 24, 2015 by SkateZilla Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
StandingCow
How delayed is the steam release for 1.5 going to be? And on that note how delayed would the new map be? Thinking it may be time to switch off steam to the standalone. 5900X - 32 GB 3600 RAM - 1080TI My Twitch Channel ~Moo

xaoslaad
I think in my head the next reasonable date to hope for is sometime in September. Nice! I had a good feeling. It's not all of it, but a nice part. Very Excited. :)
S3NTRY11
Is it safe to assume that 1.5 will come with all, or most, of the GUI improvements? I'm really looking forward to the new rendering engine more than anything else from 2.0. Means I should finally be able to use my Rift in DCS! (AMD user). Rift + L39 == excitement! Thinking it may be time to switch off steam to the standalone. New builds usually hit steam the same day as the patches are released to DCS_updater. I wouldnt expect this to be any different unless 1.5 hits open beta branch first then release branch. you should get 1.5 around the same time, but the module showing up on Steamarketplace willlikely be delayed as usual. Rangi
I use steam for beta as it updates itself and standalone for official. Does that mean you buy all modules from steam to use with beta? Steam takes a minimum of 30% of sales so to support ED it's much better to buy direct. PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
