It makes for much more impressive looking sim (especially since a lot of people think sim's are some slow old boring game that only runs at 25fps on a super computer). sorry OT, but since when does youtube allow 60fps? AMD cards are well known to be badly optimized for dx9. 25 fps on takeoff is kinda annoying, especially on min. settings. Yes i now they are "WIP" but so far we've seen only the old effects in these videos, when almost everything else is visually changed and become better. T_A Posted March 3, 2015 Share Posted March 3, 2015 Actually i made that mistake last year and bought X280 just 4-5 months before 970 GTX came out for the same price , much less wattage and more performance. i`m not making that mistake again. at the moment the only option for me is 4790K, i`ll wait for 14nm cpu`s waiting 6 months for hardware upgrade that happens once in 4-5 years is fine. I just check from time to time to see if any progress has been announced on DCS2 and new maps. Last i saw it was winter 2014 now its 1st half of 2015. And yeah Raven68, 1st six months says June to me, just from experience, things in all development tend to get delayed. The answer is simple, they are not giving firm dates anymore, as most can understand "1st half of 2015" is very vague, so assuming that means a 6 month delay is just being negative. Maybe it will take that long, but at this point, who cares... longer they take, the better it will be for us. Although the mirror finish on the early previews was ridiculous (looked more like a fancy modern restoration piece rather than 1950s frontline veteran) I'd love to see a little bit of it on the "EDGE-Sabre".
