chaff/flare sound file locations help

Hi all,

With the latest updates, the gain associated with chaff and flare release seems to have been cranked up.

I am getting a strong kick from my buttkicker when I pop chaff and flare.

I am trying to located these sound files so that I turn down the gain, but am having no luck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi...

 

"Flare" sdef file location: "..\DCS World\Sounds\sdef\Weapons\Flare.sdef"

 

and "Chaff" sdef file location: "..\DCS World\Sounds\sdef\Weapons\Snare.sdef"

 

You can edit them and modify gain value as you wish.
