Zilch Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I'm making a campaign that is coming along nicely, with briefing pictures and voice acting to along with the story. However, when it comes time to unleash this thing into the world, what happens? It's easy enough to associate images and .wav files with a mission, but when you upload a .miz or .cmp, do all of these media files get incorporated into the .cmp/.miz, or would the user have to have a copy of the same file in the same place as the builder? Grimes Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 The missions, cmp file, and campaign cover image all need to be in the same folder. With missions the images and sound files are embedded directly into the .miz file. So I'd zip up that folder and use that for distributing to players. From there it is up to them for where to place it. Generally its a good idea to create a folder in saved games like this... C:\Users\<userName>\Saved Games\DCS\Missions\Campaigns\en or people can just save the files to the relevant modules campaign folder within the install. If they do the former the campaign will show up under "User" at the end of the campaign selection screen. If its installed to the modules folder the campaign will be listed under the modules name. 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
