The darker shade does look nice, but you should give it some weathering on the instrument board, looks incredibly monotone atleast in the screenshots.

Yeah, nice work, but in my opinion it's bit too dark now. It makes black parts in panels looking almost lighter coloured now. I know it's really hard color to get exactly correct as flashlight in pictures makes it looking lighter than it really is and without flash vice versa.

I really liked colour that was in w.i.p. shots of cockpit before they lighten it.

Just a general tip/thing I found personally.

What gets worn:

Edges of panels - due to handling and during assembly

Open area's of panel - scratched because it's easy to reach

Area's around bolts and screws - due to tightening and the paint cracking.

Looks way better than default though, which almost makes me feel like I'm flying a MIG lol.

Yep, just tested it and colors were better than screenshots but for some reason sidewalls and floor was still in original colors? Did i something wrong (used JSGME) or is it still w.i.p?

Personally i would still lighten grey just a little bit to make black parts looks black, or darken the black bits. Whatever is easier.

Just because I've not found the right file for the floor ... If anyone knows where is that ugly stock floor texture ... thanks.

"still lighten grey just a little bit ...or darken the black bits"

I'll do both in V2 i think ... + weathering

thank you for your feedback and very interesting pics.

V2 work

here some screenshot of V2 thanks to yours tips and advices.

1) did some weathering and less flat front cockpit

attachment.php?attachmentid=110552&stc=1&d=1419980866

2) Worked to find the right colours with sun thanks to DB605 pic's. RL66 look (very)dark blue grey at evening and if sun is front of you, look more blue than dark grey if sun is behind you.

attachment.php?attachmentid=110553&stc=1&d=1419980866

3) made a new floor. but I have a problem with the spec files, it don't use the right lod/mipmap so it steel uglish unfact I made a new spec file 2x bigger in def ( issue is the same with original spec file )

attachment.php?attachmentid=110554&stc=1&d=1419980866

4) evening flight = dark cockpit.

attachment.php?attachmentid=110558&stc=1&d=1419980866

If you like it like that , I'll upload it as V2.
