Installation requires specific version of DCS

UPDATE:

 

I have been told I cannot use the Mig-21bis installer on the Steam version of DCS and should use the standalone version. Hope this helps anyone else experiencing this issue.

My DCS installation runs through Steam.

You need to update first DCS to that version.... which is current version.

 

It does it once a day but if you miss it... click Start... All Programs... Eagle Dynamics... DCS World... Update DCS World. If still persist try repair from same place.

[see image above]The version DCS is updated to currently is displayed to the right of the setup error notification and it reads the same as the installation I require.

 

I will attempt to repair the installation and follow the updating procedure you have posted.

I am not entierly sure about the exact problem you are getting. Just let me clarify, you want to run a non-Steam MiG-21 on Steam DCS World?

 

If that is the case, I have one advise for you: Save yourselfe the trubble and download non-Steam DCS World and run everything on there. The modules you bought through Steam will still run on non-Steam DCS World.
