Why would you want Dr Mark Greene to be your RIO?

Because nostalgia.

Wow! The external model looks fantastic! Jester AI, Phoenix AFM, MP RIO/WSO etc. Should we start saving money for new computers? ;) What im saying is... The Mig-21bis is not the most FPS friendly module out there. Imagine a fully loaded F-14 on a carrier... I think my computer will have a heart attack.

The render picture looks very nice, I think we should have a gallery mode in DCS2 to show the high-quality model in it, the encyclopedia in our simulator is not good enough for us now.

Just like "world of gun", the game in the cell phone.

I don't think it's implying carrier ops. It's just their AI logic for the RIO/WSO.

OK, so it covers communication between human pilot and AI in the back seat then.

RIO: Radar Intercept Officer

WSO: Weapons System Officer

So now we know what the cat is, the speculation must be around what the duck is. Both the MiG-23 "Duckbill" and the Saab Viggen ("tufted duck") fit the bill (heh) and both are strike aircraft presumably with A-G radars. My heart is still going with the A-6, but you'd have to put money on the Vigg given Cobra's heritage. Waddle (heh) it be?

DCS Wishlist: | Navy F-14 | Navy F/A-18 | AH-6 | Navy A-6 | Official Navy A-4 | Carrier Ops | Dynamic Campaign | Marine AH-1 |

AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

It's probably been mentioned but I imagine the A version will be what people fight the Mig-21 with and the B version will be what people fight the more modern stuff with.

I'll fight anything OPFOR that gets into the same timezone as the Nimitz, tbh :P
