Diplocaulus 发布于2015年3月3日 发布于2015年3月3日 Is there a pitot heat switch on the MiG-15bis? Does it need one? (I haven't had any airspeed indicator issues yet.) Just curious. Thanks. grim 253 发布于2019年1月29日 发布于2019年1月29日 Hello, I have a question. I have Pitot heat ON but after 15 mins at 10 000M the Pitot tube gets frozen. Similar situation is at 7 000 M, gets frozen after circa 20- 25 mins. I have to descend to 4 or five thousand and instruments start indicate again. Isn't it strange ? Did I miss anything? I believe that pilots in those times spent more time than 15 mins at high altitude. Have a nice day
gulredrel 发布于2019年2月3日 发布于2019年2月3日 On my last flight I also had the frozen pitot tube. Pitot heat was on from startup. Was a long flight from Soganlug to Anapa, more than an hour. Spent all the time at 10.000m, between Gelendzhik and Anapa the airspeed readings were strangs and eventually read zero. Descending to Anapa readings came back at around 3.500m. There were no reports of failed pitot heat after flight. Some sort of random failure?
