GurbY
What is everyone with a TM WH doing if he (she?) needs rudder input? Does every TM WH owner also has rudder pedals? Or do you bind a few keys to use NWS (as example)? Just curious!
Tricky11
I used to use the slider on the throttle for rudders but soon got annoyed with it so I bought some saitek pro flights in the end

SafetyTurtle
I use the keyboard, which basicly limits me to only using rudder when I taxi. Trying to save up for some rudder pedals though...sadly, I'm rather picky.
goon3r
I suppose you can get by without pedals for some aircraft using kybd, but for helicopters pedals are a must.

Ktulu2
I use my old Momo racing pedals. For taxiing they do the job just fine, and I fly only post-70's plane so I do not use them until I get into a big stall. I do DCS videos on youtube : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAs8VxtXRJHZLnKS4mKunnQ?view_as=public
tintifaxl
Depending on the modules you want to fly. For props and helicopters pedals are a must. For the jet engine planes you can get away without them. I would assign the trim hat for rudder control in that case. 313_Nevo
This was always surprising me, how does it come that someone can afford TM WH and not set of good pedals :noexpression:
NeilWillis
I would say pedals - with toe brakes - are an essential. I have a set of Saitek combat pedals, and a broken toe brake. I put my name down for a set of MFG Corsswind pedals when they broke back in October. I'm still waiting, though I expect I'll get them soon now. Pedals aren't a luxury they're absolutely key to getting decent control. That missing toe brake is a real problem when it comes to tail draggers. On/Off is absolutely no substitute for a nice progressive application of a brake. Try driving your car (on a completely deserted highway with only you in the car of course) by stamping on the brake and either having it fully on or fully off, and you'll see what I mean. Can you cope without pedals? Probably. Would you ever go back to keyboard control after you have pedals? - Hell no!
Random
Definately worth saving a little longer to get some pedals too! Personally I'd reccomend MFG Crosswind pedals but there is a waiting list (just goes to show they are good!)
El Hadji
Pedals! It's almost a no-brainer. And when you use a quality stick like the Warthog I don't see why one should settle for less quality for the pedals. I got my MFG Crossind v2 pedals in the beginning of the year and I totally recommend them.
