Tricky11 Posted March 18, 2015 Share Posted March 18, 2015 Hiya all. Well I decided I wanted to set helios again but I am now using a 3440x1440 main monitor and a 1920x1080 touch screen underneath. If you configure them side by side then you will have a total res of 5360 x 1440 and your touch screen upper left would be X-3441 and Y-0. However if you configure the monitors in an over under config with the touch screen below the 3440 and to the left then your total screen res will be 3440x2520 and you touchscreen upper left pixel home will be at X-0 and Y-1441. If you are asking why I said that side by side is better, it depends on the setup whether it is or not. When you set up your displays, you tell DCS what the total resolution is, which defines a rectangular area. Your displays may not cover all of this rectangle which means than the unused space (pixels) is still being processed by the video card. You want to arrange the monitors such that the unused space is minimized. Yes. 1,344,000 unused pixels with them side by side on the bottom. 768,000 unused pixels with them over under on the side.
