Sierra99
Ok... I have a mission with a flight of F-15s tasked with CAP...they are supposed to fly to. WP4, assume an orbit and HOLD until released. This is to give clients an opportunity to deal with air threat vs just letting the Eagles handle it. Problem is the Eagles go after the airborne threat as soon as they take off. My question is; Will deleting the CAP-ref line in advanced waypoint actions for each waypoint prior to the hold point prevent them from going after air threats until released? Belgeode
Try setting ROE to Weapons Hold. Exactly what SithSpawn said... and further to that: At SP waypoint set their advanced waypoint actions to ROE WEAPONS HOLD, and in the triggered actions section put the command for ROE OPEN FIRE. You can then trigger the open fire command for either a zone around WP 4 (set to go off after a certain time being in the zone, or upon them entering the zone), or a radio command issued by the player. That should work for you. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] YouTube ~ Twitch

Me Personally, I disable or you can delete the Cap -a in the first waypoint and put a Cap statement after your waypoint with the HOLD/ORBIT statement, or put a Search and engage in zone, etc after the HOLD/ORBIT statement. This will do what you want, and give better control as to what the F-15s will attack, and they will only do it after the flight follows their flight plan and you unhold them from their orbit.
