Campaign Modification?

1. Can the stock campaign be modified?

2. Is there a way to change alliances of countries, for example, like Belgium without corrupting the campaign?

Stock campaign can be modified. Load the MIZ files up in the mission editor and make your changes.

I did this with the MI-8 campaign. One of the missions has a bug and a unit won't fire upon a target, causing the mission to stop moving forward. I had to go in and tell the unit to do the attack run. It just got left out somehow.

When the game updates, it's likely that it will realize the files have changed, and redownload them. So save your modified files somewhere safe.

Changing what side countries are on is more difficult. I don't think DCS supports that by default. I remember reading the other day something about being able to change what side countries are on in an existing mission, but I forget where it was, or how it was done. I think it's somewhere in the mod section of the forums.

Practice makes perfect.

Yes just load the desired mission in editor.

No, it would destabilise the sim. Better to create new mission from scratch with desired alliances.. Also, it is impossible to change alliances since LOMAC 1.1

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
