portman 发布于2015年4月17日 发布于2015年4月17日 Hi folks, a former GDR MiG-21 pilot told me that one could use the rudder effectively only during takeoff and landing approach. During the flight it was "as stiff as a board" because of the missing boosters. Now, when I fly my MiG, I can use the rudder anytime with full deflection. Is this a thing the developers are aware of? Is it meant to be that way? Mancher zum Meister sich erklärt, dem nie das Handwerk ward gelehrt!
Stewart 发布于2015年4月17日 发布于2015年4月17日 Hmm not sure but the guy the helped develop the DCS Mig 21 is a Russian Fighter Pilot and has access to all of the MIG 21 specs. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

During the flight it was "as stiff as a board" because of the missing boosters. Not entirely correct. Now, when I fly my MiG, I can use the rudder anytime with full deflection. Is this a thing the developers are aware of? Is it meant to be that way? Rudder deflection drops with speed. At high M, they are almost impossible to move. This is simulated, and happens gradually, depending on the speed. Power through superb knowledge, training and teamwork. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
