Is it possible to have 2 installs of the sim with modules installed so you keep a clean install just in case a mod doesn't work or you can test without ruining the original?

Also, I don't think you can have 2 installs (even for DCS World bare bone which is free) but you can copy the entire folder for backup. However... JSGME is the way to go.

Edit: Oh yea, you will have to use a separate JSGME install for both versions, same as with the beta if you have that installed also.

Yes. Use the information linked in txmtb's post and you can have as many installations, using the same or different versions, as you wish.

 

I currently have four or five versions as well as the Open Beta. Each also has their own JSGME mods setup.
