Luftwoller Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 I swear to god I just did this. I came in side slipping at around 220kmh, the ship which isn't a carrier, is doing something like 60kmh? Going quick anyhoo, I stalled the plane when right over and crashed it into the bulkhead. No flames no explosion, just a fecked plane. Then the whole thing slipped through the floor and exploded. But I did it!! Just a shame I don't have photographic proof lol. Great mission though.. Helicopters!! Never trust anything that screws itself into the air!
SlipBall Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Just a shame I don't have photographic proof lol. Great mission though.. Do it again but this time save the track file :D

Flamin_Squirrel Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I've tried; I'm not sure it's possible (at least not in one piece!)
Luftwoller Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) This was my 2nd attempt, I swear... ...GuyAlmost.....trk Edited May 22, 2015 by Luftwoller Helicopters!! Never trust anything that screws itself into the air!
Sporg Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 (edited) I made it almost as well. Managed to get down on the deck for a moment, but was washed overboard by the ship's movement. :) 10th attempt or so ;) Great exercise for flying near stall speed.2 attemps 1 almost.trk Edited May 22, 2015 by Sporg System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
DieHard Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) If you have the CV carrier at max speed into a very strong headwind, maybe you can do it. That is how Billy Mitchell launched his bombers towards Japan in early WWII. I tried landing to a CV unsuccessfully in the past with the A-10C. Landing copters on a moving train's flat car is challenging. 1st try, I almost had it. I approached the landing pad as a CV curve approach like is done with a F4U. Going to get my ground crew guys to attach flypaper to my undercarriage. Edited May 27, 2015 by DieHard [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Sporg Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Managed to land on the Admiral Kuznetsov. :) A bit of luck, and not without damage though. Sadly no repair available. Was on VA server, so no track.
