It almost looks like they are terrain builders. They show shots of DCS and of the new terrain tools and such. But again, I don't know, and honestly I don't know that anyone from ED will comment.

As for the 'MultiEDGE' they talk about, it looks like a terrain viewer as part of the editing tools. Its possible this is the company responsible for the terrain tools?

Based on the EDGE library, the MultiEDGE synchronized multichannel visualizer is intended for use in professional flight simulators and also as an external module of multichannel visualization for a series of DCS World games. MultiEDGE achieves a synchronized image of continuous graphical scenery generated by 8-12 projectors on one spherical or circular screen.

Sounds like a specialized application to me.

whatever it is, if all those maps you can see are somewhen added to "our" DCS, then i'm more than happy with it ;)

I wouldnt get too carried away, looks like they are showing examples from many projects, not just our little world ;)

agreed, and a lot of those pictures are not new, but still, selling them for DCS would generate money, so there might be a chance in there ;)

But the Oculus Rift video show nevada / NTTR is a very little "contradictory" if only talk about a specialized application. Other point as the EDGE video, the description as equal "contradictory", no necesary talk about use on gaming market if only center your company on professional market.

EDGE is a modern software system designed to visualize and create highly detailed large scale 3D scenes. The most advanced computer graphics technologies available in the gaming and simulator industries are employed in EDGE. CHECK IT OUT!

I must be talkin to myself,

The entire SG video is a re-mix of the older video footage from the Corsica, Ft. Rucker, AltWolf, ConcordXIII Videos posted before.

thats interesting:

Technical capabilities

MultiEDGE guarantees visualization with a constant frequency of 60 frames per second for terrain scenes in1920×1080 (FullHD) resolution. To do this, the equipment must meet the following requirements as minimum:

  • CPU: Intel i5 (4 cores)
  • RAM: 8Gb
  • VIDEO: Support of DirectX 11 (ATI 290x 2x crossfire or Nvidia 980 2x sli). If two graphics cards are used, it is important to provide a cooling system
  • SSD 128Gb to store a terrain database

seems to be the minimum for full details effects etc. at 60fps min.

Time to start saving up!

That is in no way an.official minimum/recommended specs set for DCS2.0

as i said, i imagine this to be with ALL settings maxed out, with that in mind it sounds plausible even for our version.

I cant stress enough what Skate's said. This is not the specs for DCS World 2.0.

Sure. But I wouldnt have a problem with it even if it was. DCS 2.0 should be designed with future hardware in mind, since it will likely service us for the next 10 years or so like the Flanker/LOMAC engines did.

So I take it the graphic fidelity will be less compared to what we see at smartgraf if your official statement is that is not the Dcs 2.0 hardware requirements? Like others I have no problem with high hardware requirements.

When the official requirements for DCS 2.0 are released, you will find them here, not at any other website. We dont know what they are offering there compared to what we have or what we will be getting. All we know right now is that requirements have not been finalized yet as optimization is still on going.

Really nice and informative find, thank you Sir..¡¡¡

I know this is , what it is, you can read the web by yourself.

It is clear that the info that offers is offered by another company and not ED, but the connection is quite obvious and the features that shows are quite impressive, so for me it is an indication of the quality of the future that DCS 2 will bring, maybe I´m wrong....

And it is good to feel DCS 2.0 behind the corner.

It is gonna be a fantastic simulator with a very beautyful face..¡¡¡¡
