nice work skull

I like the wood and rivet and metallic plate on floor texture.

I like less the "brown" leather on throttle and front reticle.

but it's quite nice !

Hello guys,

Once again a super thanks for your kindness and your comments...

Now I would like to thank our friend Zaelu for his assistance and explanations because when I've make my "Cockpit V1.5" I saved all my textures files without generate MIP and of course it's not nice for the eyes.

Zaelu explain to me the good way and now I've saved all my textures files with generate MIP and it's more nice for our eyes and now it's the "Cockpit V-1.6".

Also I've worked on the control stick and of course it's not easy thing to make but after many hours I found I've created one very different from the original stick and I would like to know if you like this new stick.

Here I join you two version of my control stick, one version all black and with few dirty brown spots and one version with green fingerprint (green like the paint of the cockpit frame).

If you want I can published with my "Cockpit V1.6" the two versions of my stick.

About these textures I must say that's it's not one easy thing to do and as solution I used one real photo of the P-51 and for the moment the result is not too bad, please can you tell me if you like or not ?

Here the link for V-1.6 with new control stick: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nhfon8eqyvdlsfb/Skulleader%20Cockpit%20V1.6.rar?dl=0

PS: Excuse me for my poor English ;-)

Here version with green fingerprint:

Fantastic work Skulleader. I fly the 51 alot and its great to see it getting some love from the community. I really like the weathering you have put into this, especially the floorboards and sight. I have used alot of cockpit texture mods for the 51 and this is one of the best I have seen.

Thank you for putting alot of time into this, I'm sure I speak for the whole community, we all appreciate the time modders put into these projects :)

Keep up the great work

I am not Skulleader, but I think I know the answer. It most likely won't work, since the TF-51 has a different cockpit geometry.

So if Skulleader decides do create a version for the TF-51 he might be able to use a lot of his textures, but some stuff is just different.

Hello dear friends,

Super, I would like to thank you for your incredible comments.

Today a small fix because I've changed the color of the radiator coolant covers, now they are red.

For download just this new fix please read post #1 and download p51d-cpt03.bmp.dds:

It looks amazing. Will this mod work with TF-51?

Always update your first post with the new version for new comers.

It will work if you change the name of the files and the folder structure. Look at the bellow picture and you will see that the TF-51 cockpit has all the files in P-51 cockpit plus 1 more for the back geometry. The original P-51 files are renamed with TF-51 in the name but the logic behind them is easy to spot.
