WildBillKelsoe Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Could you guys try the following test parameter with LABS and report your findings here? 1- entry speed = 350 mph, PUP speed 340 mph 2- PUP point 0.5 - 0.4 nm from target 3- G loading 3 to 4 units 4- PUP altitude = 50 feet AGL 5- configuration= 2X AN-M64 + 30 % fuel 6- CAVOK zero winds, zero turbulence 7- uncage LABS gyro only 1 nm away from target and target dead ahead with all above parameters met. AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
Holbeach Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 It works (target was always hit), but why so slow? Should be 500 kts. This makes it unrealistic and defeats the object of surprise, avoiding AAA and your own bomb blast. Speed over the top was under 200 kts. 50 ft AGL makes it difficult to spot the target and too much concentration on avoiding ground objects. .. ASUS 2600K 3.8. P8Z68-V. It would be good if you could nominate similar fields for me to try. How big was your target and where did it land? When we've secured different altitude layers, we'll start with wind correction. I know its not perfect but at least large buildings can get hit so we can have a baseline to work with.
