ED Team PilotMi8 Posted July 2, 2015 ED Team Share Posted July 2, 2015 (edited) Will this update become available only when EDGE is released ? it is necessary to ask specialists Eagle Dynamics)) But this will be with the Release version of the DCS:Mi-8MTV2. Will users of the present version have to pay for the upgrade ?. Having beta version will not pay anything Edited July 2, 2015 by PilotMi8

AlexandrT
News No.9 News No.9 «АВТОМАТ. СБРОС» (automatic release) switch is now functional. Electrical equipment of external load contains DG-64M lock. DG-64M lock is equipped with an automatic release mechanism. Which is activated by "Внешняя подвеска – Автоматический сброс" (external load - automatic release) switch on a middle electric panel. Lock status is indicated by "ЗАМОК ОТКРЫТ" (lock is open) green annunciator panel on middle electric panel. In flight lock can be opened by pressing tactical or emergency buttons located on cyclic stick. "Автоматический сброс" (automatic release) switch should be off during flight. When it's necessary lock can be opened automatically. On approach to cargo unload area turn on "Автоматический сброс" (automatic relase) switch. After cargo is on the ground and tension of slings is less than 20 +/-8 kg, automatics will open the lock and slings will be released. :) Translated by - Laivynas Moderator/ED Testers Team:thumbup:

Aviators
and news for uh1? L'importante non è stabilire se uno ha paura o meno, è saper convivere con la propria paura e non farsi condizionare dalla stessa. Ecco, il coraggio è questo, altrimenti non è più coraggio ma incoscienza.
wolle
Will Belsimtek do something to improve the cockpit textures? The Mi-8 is the only cockpit for which I cannot read some of the gauges (such as compass) at normal zoom. (I have to zoom in to be able to read my heading...) Rogue Trooper
Will Belsimtek do something to improve the cockpit textures? The Mi-8 is the only cockpit for which I cannot read some of the gauges (such as compass) at normal zoom. (I have to zoom in to be able to read my heading...) Would be nice to get a real tatty MI-8 with all the fabric bits and bobs we see in the photos of this thread. HP G2 Reverb, Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate as standard. OpenXR user, Open XR tool kit disabled. Open XR was a massive upgrade for me. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), 0 X MSAA, 0 X SSAA. My real IPD is 64.5mm. Prescription VROptition lenses installed. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC at the mo. MT user (2 - 5 fps gain). DCS run at 60Hz. Vaicom user. Thrustmaster warthog user. MFG pedals with damper upgrade.... and what an upgrade! Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height with brail enhancements to ensure 100% button activation in VR.. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound.... you know when you are dropping into VRS with this bad boy.

zaelu
I think only the central console of the engineer is affected by some bug on how the textures are rendered there. No matter how many MipMaps on those they look really bad especially where there is text. Other than that... I think all is OK... including the rotor hub... imho. DieHard
(re: Message #1) Just saw this today. Glad I saw this before going nuts remapping my Options/Controls Mi-8 keyboard commands for AP Heading and Altitude Off commands. I was going to create my CH Pro Throttle in 3 Modes so one 4-way button could control the AP trimmers. I think I will wait on that and see what develops by final release. DieHard
You can have it right now on axes by adding the following at the end to the default.lua file from \DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Mi-8MTV2\Input\Mi-8MTV2\joystick in quote there are 3 functions, what they do is self explanatory at the end. Notice that wheel brake on axis disables if slightly actuated the parking brake! meaning that if yo put the Mi-8 on parking brake and press the brake axis will disengage the parking brake and you will have to press again the key. Solution to this behavior would be to put a bigger dead zone to brake axis. if you have one of the preset joysticks there you can add it to it also. best way is to create a JSGME Mod so you can edit backup safely all. Same functions can be added as buttons also in default.lua from keyboard folder if one prefers keys. I use axes.
