Will this version be modelled as well?

Firtst of all, congrats on making it to official third-party developer! I am very interested in the Bo-105, since it saw extensive service in our air-force as well. The Dutch air-force sadly retired them all. :(

Quite a few years ago, I took this picture at an airshow. Do you think you can make this version as well? It got a mini-gun on the right side only. They were used as light utility and observation helicopters in the KLu (royal airforce from Holland) It makes sense to have a mini-gun installed to apply force on fleeing criminals or pirates when a pure-bred attack helicopter like the AH-64 is too expensive or too much of an overkill to use. It looked to me there wasn't any special sighting equipment installed, probably only a fixed sight. I got some more information on this version as well. It would be a great adition! :) :pilotfly:

That seems unsafe for passengers in the chopper. Every time you get out, you would pass the gun's muzzle.

But it would be a nice addition I think :)

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

As far as I know, the minigun was only attached for the Airshow...I may be wrong.

If you can provide us with the neccesary information like:

- how the gunsight looks like

- Cockpit Intruments layout (Center/front/ Roofconsole)

I would give it a go.

Paintscheme of the dutsh airforce will be done also ...

It actually looks like an Rheinmetall RH202 to me.

edit:

well, jackpot. The gun is an rh202 alright, and I did manage to dig up some more info. I don't think there's enough for Fragger to justify making it jet, but maybe there will, in time. here's some extra images. it appears to be called the BO105GSH by the spanish airforces and the BO105P by the iraqis

So far I'm sorry for the chaotic format, I had expected to find maybe a few demo hulls for a project that perhaps failed, not find dozens in service with the spanish and iraqi airforces.

Here's some images from NATO exercise dynamic mix (2002). So it trained untill atleast fairly recent in history.

Lastly, during my searches I found a few BO-105's in other configurations, in case anyone feels like doing some research on them, too. to keep the images down I'll just post the links to the image.

EDIT2:

apperently the BO105GSH is mentioned, explained or discussed in this book. Anyone having it laying around? http://www.ebay.de/itm/CONCORD-ROTARY-ELITE-FRANCE-SPAIN-NETHERLANDS-GREECE-GERMANY-BELGIUM-DENMARK-USA-/391179848750

some statistics are mentioned ( in spanish ) on page 75 of this spanish armed forces publication of 1984. https://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CDEQFjACahUKEwi1kbGMtbDIAhWG1iwKHaQ2D3I&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpublicaciones.defensa.gob.es%2Fdocs%2Fdefault-source%2Frevistaspdf%2Fret_536.pdf%3Fsfvrsn%3D0%26download%3Dtrue&usg=AFQjCNHxki7Welo4E01g7wXzUlZHrVEhdw&sig2=uEfZG2jKBJUH6oAqsALbhA&cad=rja

according to this source, the Rh202 was mounted on a small turret(?)("turm") with a limited amount of ammo. it also states there where BO105 variants with stingers, SNEB and SNIA air to surface rockets, FN MAGS among other things. http://iuventus.info/Lex/B%C3%B6lkow_Bo_105
