JOYRIDE'S MISSIONS

Recommended Posts

It occurred to me today that although I have been around this sim for quite a while and have flown some of the best user created A-10C MP missions available there may be many A-10C enthusiasts that are unaware of some of these missions. By far some of the best have been created by a veteran Hawg driver named Joyride (alias deephouse). If you haven't tried his missions yet click =&arrFilter_pf[gameversion]=&arrFilter_pf[filelang]=&arrFilter_pf[aircraft]=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=deephouse&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&set_filter=Filter"]HERE for a real treat. I only wish he would get back into action soon. Can I get an AMEN?

Could not agree more!

Coincidentally I just re-downloaded a couple of his missions yesterday to dive into - I hope they haven't been broken by the DCS updates too much. The replayability that Joyride worked into his missions is first class!

For those that may not be aware, it has been advised in the past to bring a downloaded mission into the mission editor and re-save it before use. In theory this assures compatibility with the latest DCS World build. Joyride's missions seem to have survived the ravages of all of the past updates.

Thanks for the heads up!

In anycase I've updated it with Talon's Reach here: http://hoggitworld.com/missions/179/operation-talons-reach/

and both versions of gridiron: http://hoggitworld.com/missions/180/operation-gridiron/ and http://hoggitworld.com/missions/181/operation-gridiron/

I bet what happened is you accidentally uploaded the zip file instead of the miz files, I do that all the time still and I wrote the damn thing. I definitely need to put better errors up!

The correct http address for reference should be THIS for Gridiron.

Just caught this thread, thanks Blooze (and others) for the kind words. The many hours spent working on missions has more lately been spent coaching kids soccer, family time, work, etc. but hopefully I can get back to mission design soon - I've got tons of hours already invested in unfinished missions and CAS-related scripts built for the A-10 that I'd love to finish up. Not to mention going back and tidying up the older missions - thanks to those that have done some of that work for me.

Of course you know that now that you have stated "I've got tons of hours already invested in unfinished missions and CAS-related scripts built for the A-10 that I'd love to finish up" Hawg pilots around the globe will be expecting things. BIG things.:bounce:
