Multiple monitor-settings in one monitor-file?

Recommended Posts

I'm playing DCS on screens: #1 main #2 Helios

Currently every module needs his own monitor-file to bring up the instruments on the correct position on monitor #2.

Now, it would be very convinient, to have the different settings all together in one monitor-file and so, the distinct positions will be selected automatically by identifiying the currently active sim.

So to speak, something like this pseudo-code:

case
Ka-50)
    Viewports = {
       Center = {... }
    }
    {   LEFT_MFCD = { ... }
  RIGHT_MFCD = {... }
  MFCD_03 = {... }
  [...]
  ;;
A-10C)
    Viewports = {
       Center = {... }
    }
  LEFT_MFCD = { ... }
  RIGHT_MFCD = {... }
  MFCD_03 = {... }
  [...]
  ;;
Su-27T)
    Viewports = {
       Center = {... }
    }
  LEFT_MFCD = { ... }
  RIGHT_MFCD = {... }
  MFCD_03 = {... }
  [...]
  ;;
esac

Would this be possible?

Hello RightStuff,

yes, this is possible.

See my config annexed.

Please copie the file to "C:\Users\<USER>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\MonitorSetup\".

Another source with respect to anything to do with monitor setups is do a search for threads by PeterP he is the Guru of monitor setup.

I haven't seen him on recently so some of his stuff maybe dated but will definitely give you a good base to start with.
