Fallout
Hi guys, I've started to fly the 25T again and when I've used rockets or guns and I've turned the laser on the pipper gives me a new firing solution. Is this more accurate or am I just seeing things?
McBlemmen
yes
PiedDroit
Yes it is more accurate - and it works better with some angle. If your attack run is made with too shallow angle your piper might become jumpy as it alternates between two firing solution.

Goldham
You can also use the Shkval to track targets using the gunpods in programmed mode. They only track vertically so you still need to fly over the target.

Yes, the SPPU-22 turret mounted gunpods... they actually work pretty well from high altitude to rid a convoy of manpads... with practice one can even use them first and then switch to iron bombs. kontiuka
I'm actually kind of curious about the laser in the 25T. When you switch it on, you don't see the HUD reticle adjust at all for the revised firing solution (in contrast to the Su-25A) and if you look at the shkval screen, the slant distance doesn't seem to change. Prophet
The slant angle on the SHKVAL is dependent on the camera, I wouldn't expect your slant angle to change with the laser on or off as it already knows that angle based on the target in the center of the view. The laser solution you can see if you are just using rockets or the guns, not sure if with or without the SHKVAL on and locked.
