Tried all the usual stuff, repair and chkdsk, removed my mods, deleting the save folder, nothing works, I even deleted that file and repaired again, still no go, any ideas apart from reinstalling obviously.

Win 7 64bit, 8gig ram, SSD drive, and few other odds and ends like a graphics card, 750TI.

Was this after a system crash?

I would try a system restore at this point if I had done all you have to find the issue.

No, my system was fine but it seems to be a win 7 update because now my whole system has gone down, it wont boot into win at all, and dcs stopped working after an update which I only realized when I got a failed update message and then did a reboot. I don't use a restore point so I may have to reinstall win again if I cannot find a workaround.

Before Win Updates it creates a restore point. I would suspect the graphics update from Win7 HQL driver. The sound update for the Creatives Sound Blaster was a big issue from those updates also don't use it/ them.

What error message do you get with the failed boot?

Yep you right, it seems to be the new Nvidia driver causing havoc, not sure why, busy looking into it now. I forgot that I updated that driver too at the same time as the win updates, I have fresh install of windows now and as soon I install the latest Nvidia driver, windows desktop manager crashes. Now I am using an older driver 353.82 and seems to be fine. I got that driver from win updater. Not sure what an HQL driver is, I will google that.

I understand your desire to reinstall. When faced with an issue like this, reinstalling doesn't resolve it in most cases a hard system crash isn't related to software. It's a power issue. Graphics or HDD Power jolts do this. USBs' devices can also have this effect.

Do the reinstall and get back to us as this will assist others having this type of issue.

If DCS Su-27 is installed, it will crash by the beginning of missions.

sounds like it could be the old 32bit file installed into the 64bit system folder gripe

"Dependency Walker" (third party bug detector app) though outdated now may be of help?

Oh, troubles will be suffered if involved in...

It is at last from Seven that the 64-bit environment of Windows became in use.

Reinstalled the runtimes and DirectX still no joy, hard system crash loading a mission, at this point I'll try uninstall and reinstall

NVidia crashing the system on Windows 10 Insider preview is a known issue.

If you're reinstalling, reinstall to the RTM.

Another working fix is revert to some old Nvidia driver.

Program compatible assistant

It detected that this program was not executed correctly.

In order to restore this problem, setting of compatibility was applied to this program...

It solved by clean-installing, because there was much crash of launcher.exe.

However, this system message do not get it used to seeing appears in the first starting.

I do not comprehend what this means.

It seems this may be at issue if the result of reinstalling was a Compatibility issue. (Potentially)

Japman down load the latest ver. of the software and you should be fine. Keep Windows updated also. never be in a hurry to update the GPU drivers until you know the ver. works well.

Thank you. It is the newest altogether.

However, the problem which crashes by DCS Su-27 is not solved.

A theme skin, theme music, missions, interactive training, etc. are transplantable to FC3 from DCS Su-27.

This is good as an emergency measure.
