ANNOUNCING PRE-PURCHASE OF M-2000C FOR DCS WORLD BY RAZBAM

DUXFORD, UK, September 18th, 2015 - The Fighter Collection and RAZBAM are proud to announce the pre-purchase of M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM.

The M-2000C is a multi-role, French-designed, 4th generation fighter. It was designed in the 1970s as a lightweight fighter and in excess of 600 M2000C aircraft have been built. The M-2000C is a single-engine fighter with a low-set delta wing with no horizontal tail. It has excellent manoeuvrability given its relaxed stability and fly-by-wire flight control system. The M-2000C also includes a multi-mode RDI radar that is capable of tracking and engaging targets at beyond visual ranges. In addition to engaging other aircraft with cannon and missiles, the M-2000C can also engage ground targets with cannon, rockets and bombs. The M-2000C is a perfect fit for the battlefields of DCS World!

We now bring an exacting simulation the M-2000C to DCS World. The M-2000C is highly optimized to work within DCS World and takes advantage of the Digital Combat environment that only Eagle Dynamics can offer.

Is the Mirage 2000C HARM capable? If not, only mildly interested until price goes way down.

Man.... I now got 3 pre orders pending.

She does look very maneuverable though!

HP G2 Reverb, Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate as standard. OpenXR user, Open XR tool kit disabled. Open XR was a massive upgrade for me.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), 0 X MSAA, 0 X SSAA. My real IPD is 64.5mm. Prescription VROptition lenses installed. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC at the mo. MT user  (2 - 5 fps gain). DCS run at 60Hz.

Vaicom user. Thrustmaster warthog user. MFG pedals with damper upgrade.... and what an upgrade! Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height with brail enhancements to ensure 100% button activation in VR.. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound.... you know when you are dropping into VRS with this bad boy.

What's distinction between AFM and possible EFM/PFM. Will the flight model be on par with the best DCS planes? Why is it called M-2000C for DCS, rather than DCS-Mirage?

Anyway, proud preorderer here.

Advanced Flight Model, External Flight model and Professional Flight model. They're all about similar or different depending on the amount of work the devs put on it. I think only ED are allowed to use the term PFM though.

It's called M-2000C because the Mirage 2000 has been developed in many variants, the M-2000C being the base of all. "DCS: Mirage". There's a lot of other Dassault Mirage aircraft other than the 2000. Hence the specific naming.

This is wrong. EFM stands for "External Flight Model" which is the term for third party developed flight models (with Belsimtek as an exception). AFM and PFM are both terms for Eagle Dynamics developed flight models. The core of the SFM is also made by Eagle Dynamics, but it is highly configurable through lua files.

My mistake, External yes. I always want it to mean "Enhanced" for some reason. I didn't know AFM was exclusive to Eagle Dynamics.

Is this considered a nice rival for the mig 21?

The mirage is what the Israelis used against the Egyptians, right?

Not even in the same league. Only the MIG-21s with the R-77 will stand a chance, and even then, those are inferior in every single way aside from that missile. This is more comparable with the MIG-29A and F-16A.

Israel never used the Mirage 2000. They never even bought the F1.

You're almost right ;)

The versions we have in DCS are different for both Mirage and MiG-21, Israelis used Mirage III against MiG-21 PF.

The Mirage 2000 is a completely different beast and much more advanced than the MiG-21BIS
