maturin
This newest update broke a bunch of key bindings for me. Now I can't access the score screen in-flight, and chase views don't work either. I'm afraid to find out what other controls have stopped working. Both keybinds I mentioned are untouched in the Controls menu, at (\) and (`) respectively.

Focha
Is there any possibility of having rain effects on the canopy when it's raining in the new engine? That would greatly increase the immersion of the sim. http://youtu.be/PZCt5I6daOg A link to have an idea of the visibility issues that rain can cause. In my RL experience flying helicopters it's even more difficult sometimes. 21stCenturyPilot
Any chance of updating the lower quality aircraft models. Most of the planes and helicopters look great but... F-14A, C-17, Su-30, Su-34, SH-60, CH-53, Tu-95/142 need a bit of work. Low res textures low detail models stand out. Ultra
Sorry this is probably asked and answered, but I don't see it. With DX11, is DCS now optimized for SLI and Crossfire? Previously, it could actually cause worse performance.

The beta is public. If you tried it you could probably answer that question for yourself. It is unstable and buggy. My guess is that ED will take months to get 1.5/2 stable enough to change the "stable" branch of the updater over. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I would imagine sometime between now and the November planned release of 2.0 beta we will see 1.5 go live. I think there a few big issues they are trying to iron out before pushing 1.5 to full release. Well DCS 1.5 is fully released. You can try the entire thing. Everything sort of works. It is just not officially deemed stable by ED. That doesn't mean you can't try it out. You can easily make the updater load DCS 1.5 and you can revert back to 2.0. You can also install a seperate second DCS install that tracks the openbeta branch. All of this has been released by ED, so it is not working around anything or sort of hacking into something. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Version 2.0 is still some weeks/months away from beta release and will possibly go beta around the time when 1.5 hits the public release So short version... there is no 2.0 and 1.5 is public beta Edited October 14, 2015 by FSKRipper i9 9900K @ 5,0GHz | 1080GTX | 32GB RAM | 256GB, 512GB & 1TB Samsung SSDs | TIR5 w/ Track Clip | Virpil T-50 Stick with extension + Warthog Throttle | MFG Crosswind pedals | Gametrix 908 Jetseat [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

One is called release and one is called openbeta. Normally the DCS upater follows the release branch. So whenever there is a new version for the release branch the updater will download the differing files and make your game files look like they are in that new version. You can make the updater switch branches. It you switch to the openbeta branch the updater will make your game files look like they are in the most recent version of the openbeta branch (which happens to be DCS 1.5 right now). For a step-by-step explanation how to do that see this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 In short you will be using the following command to switch to the openbeta branch: DCS_updater.exe update openbetaAnd to switch back: DCS_updater.exe update release [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
