Nah, that tricked me too, but the checkbox has always been there. The checkbox 'locks' the speed specified for that waypoint; the one below it 'locks' the waypoint TOT. If after a week we see no blocking bugs in 1.5.4 OB, we will move it to the public build the following Friday. Once 1.5.4 is released to the public build, we plan to release the F-86F / MiG-15bis 3rd party campaign. I'm quite confident that you will be able to turn off such effects if you would have problems. Still they will release it as beta first so no worries for stable ...
