grigoris
After landing and parking, i shut down the engines and request repair because of damage. Repair finished but after the flaps were full down and locked. Also the movement of the aircraft lost it's smoothness. I requested also rearm & refuel but as soon as the repair was done the process stoped. Edited October 7, 2015 by BIGNEWY
Ramsay
AFAIK an existing fault from 1.2.16 (I haven't had a rough landing in 1.5 yet, so can't confirm). Partial landing gear and tyre damage wasn't repaired after using 'Repair and Rearm'. It could be seen by still having non-functioning wheel brake pressure, a non-illuminated LG lamp(s) or the central LG fault lamp being lit. Taxi handling/takeoff was bad and the LG could fail to retract after takeoff. The only work around was to restart the mission / respawn. VAF [136] Striker
I can confirm that this is happening or something very close anyhow. I started the "Georgian Oil War" campaign and went back to base to reload and repair. As repair concluded the jet spun around 180 degrees. After that the flaps and speed brakes stopped working. The flaps were stuck on full landing position. It did not create a track file but I'm including the log file and my system spec's. World 1.5 is not creating any track files for single missions I've been doing. I had to convert them both to text files. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 4, 2015 ED Team Share Posted October 4, 2015 DCS will always try to produce a track file, even if you do not get the chance to. It can be found here C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta if you have trouble finding it you may need to show hidden folders in windows. I would like to see a track of this issue, I have not been able to replicate this issue. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? VAF [136] Striker
Yep, you are right Bignewy! But it's too big for me to submit. The attachment manager won't allow anything over 9.6 MB. And the last time I tried I got a security token error. Is there a way for me to reduce the size of the file or submit it another way? It's saved on my desktop as a 14MB zip file. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted October 4, 2015 ED Team Share Posted October 4, 2015 No, and it is a little large to watch back. Is it possible to reproduce in a shorter track? Forum rules - DCS Crashing? VAF [136] Striker
Yes, I was able to reproduce the problem. I turned into the wingman and when he took off he damaged the nose. Then I went to the exact same place to repair. As repair finishes, the plane flips around 180, engines go full and turn off. This time I lost rudder, flaps, speedbrake and joystick control. All my control surfaces work outside of the simulation. I had to die twice to do this so hopefully it will help! :smilewink: Nvidia GTX-1080 Intel i7-4820K 3.7 Ghz ASUS ROG Rampage IV Extreme MB 32 GB Memory Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ramsay
Confirmed in 1.5.0.45208 MP. 1.5 beta was a little different to what I'd experienced in 1.2.16 SP The 3D model showed gear and tyre damage that was repaired and LG lamps showed good. However after the repair was completed, it was placed 90° to the original orientation, both engines spin up for a moment (puff of smoke as well) and the half charged hyd. system went to full pressure. After starting both engines - the flaps were stuck down and control surfaces seemed stuck. Wheel brake pressure gauges didn't function either.
