Hi :D

Having an issue where my kneeboard wont show any maps in the MiG21. The custom templates, radio channels page, RSBN page, ARC page and Altimeter setting page of the kneeboard are all working. The map pages, however, have disappeared.

Has happened on every mission I've tried in the MiG21 so far.

i5 2500

8gb ram

970 gtx

Forgot to add - Using windows 7 and the steam version of the sim.

Same here. I don't think it's O/S dependent (mine is Win7x64).

It makes the campaign nigh-on impossible as mission #2 expects you to do some sort of CAP. Unless you go into the mission editor (cheating!!!) there's now way of knowing where your CAP waypoints actually are are.

Ok after stuffing around for an hour I believe I have a fix....looks like ED is preparing for NTTR and changed their own init.lua under /(dcs open beta install folder/scripts/aircrafts/common/cockpit/kneeboard/device

with references to if cacaurus us blah blah, if not use yada yada yada

What I did was copy the init.lua from the above location and added it too:

/mods/aircraft/mig21-bis/cockpit/kneeboard/device.

I renamed the original init.lua file (always have a back up!!!!)

And loaded the 1st mig21 campaign mission....and voila kneeboard map is back

Programming guys may be able to tell you which lines to add to the original mig21 init file...but I have nfi about it.......so I may have broken the entire game....so use at your own risk.

Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Will we see an official fix for this? The 1.5 Beta patch erased the hotfix and my kneeboard is not showing the route page again. I haven't tried the kneeboard on 2.0 Alpha yet. Can anyone confirm if it is working in the alpha or not?

Thank you.

Leatherneck this should have been fixed by now.

Please include this fix in the next build. Because in 1.5.2 this is not working out of the box.

What should and should not have been fixed is dictated by a priority list.

Next patch.
