IP in manual flight plan programming

i can input flightplan in CDU during start up, but what about IPs?

IP is not ordinary waypoint, it is visible only in "mission" mode. is there any tutorial how can i program IP in my flight plan?

will JTAC or AFAC be advised of my IP if i input it maually and not in ME?

As far as I am aware jtac only recognizes IP's that are placed in the Mission Editor, simply naming a waypoint "IP" does not alert JTAC of the IP, what I do instead is when i set up waypoints in Missions via the ME is place one [waypoint] over the IP and name it "IP" or "IP Dodge" etc. this works well enough for me.

Presuming that in "mission" mode means that you have set the STEER PT knob on your AAP to MISSION, then you can also enter the IP into you flight plan. All you have to do is to add an aditional waypoint to your flight plan and use the name of the IP that you have found when setting AAP STEER pt knob to MISSION.

 

In the mission editor additional Initial Points can be entered, whcih will be readily accesible from the CDU. The CDU can hold over 2000 waypoints. In our standard training mission we have about 500 additional waypoint, e.g. for killboxes, entry/exit points for airports etc.
