Fuel dump not working?

Not sure if it's not working or just has a really slow dump rate and no graphical effect. Probably not working I think.

Same guess here. I even tried to activate the fuel dump within the recommended parameters (speed/altitude) (Su-27SK manual) but it did not release any fuel faster than the engines consumption ;)

It's probably an old FC3 bug or a not-fully-integrated feature.

I can confirm that this doesn't work too. set sim speed to 60x to see if it's dumping at a real slow rate but it seems like it doesn't make any difference at all. Even though I don't know how these functions work, it doesn't look like a hard thing to fix. Should we re-post this under release version bugs thread or is this the tread it's supposed to stay at?

A bug report could not hurt as the key binding is available but the function still not implemented.

I assume it's already listed somewhere on ED's to-do-list though.

*how to report a (Su-27) bug*

Sorry for thread jacking, but ejecting fuel tanks doesn't work well either for me in any Soviet FC3 or 25T. It just doesn't dump them, I have to either wait or dump my payload prematurely.

Also, Autopilot (lalt+2 or A or H) doesn't work for me either in any FC3 plane nor in 25T and hasn't since 1.5. I've heard some opinions that it's because of bugged autopilot that the 27 needs to be constantly trimmed?

The Su-27 doesn't carry external fuel, the command is for external stores. The auto-pilot is bugged right now, you have to trim properly before activating it and maintain a speed above 600kmph.

^As said sorry for hijacking threads, but as written in my post was talking about other planes like MiG-29, Su-25A and T, cause as you said 27 and 33 don't have external fuel tanks.

Can someone confirm that it's even possible in Su-27S? I couldn't find such info.

Section 8.2.5 of the real world manual that’s floating around. Performed at altitudes below 1100 m and airspeed 300-360 km/hr. Also says that engine speed should be p sub2 = 80-90%.

so its still not working?

Dumping of fuel works, be sure not to be in afterburner while doing this.

This thing would need visual update, since at present it is barely visible.
