3Sqn_Sven
Hey all, I have an issue with my pc randomly rebooting itself about every third time I turn it on. It will sit in windows for about 5 secs then reboot itself. On occasion it even reboots again after this. I then get a "your pc has recovered from a serious error" message when windows comes back up, however when sending it off to microsoft the analysis is that it being caused by an unknown device driver. I have a P4 2.4Ghz, 1 Gig Kingmax ram, ASUS P4P800 Mobo, agp 128mb 6600GT and a 120 GB HD. This problem has been going on for about 6 months and I have no idea what could be the issue. I have not installed any new hardware. Anyone seen this before? 3Sqn - Largest distributor of Flanker, Fulcrum and Frogfoot parts in the Black Sea Region
Nate Dogg
Nope but try updating your MB drivers to the latest, GPU drivers and anything else you can do. May even be something in BIOS too? Never hurts to reset the bios if you know what you changed if anything. give it a go and let me know how it works out cheers
NEODARK
There are viruses that make a PC reboot upon booting. However, it can also be somethign else. Check your EventViewer (under safe mode) too see whats error is reported, and post back what you find out
Mustang
I had these exact same problems when my RAM suddenly failed........hope its something simple.
zaelu
Check for viruses or driver conflicts Check posible drives failures (check SMARTat boot, Check errors in Event viewer log in Computer Management , right click on My Computer... manage) Tear it apart Check for bad contacts on connectors. Check your heat control (dust control) Check your ram with memtest86 (disk). Check your CPU and ram stability with Prime95 Take you components out and test from minimum necesity to full. See what cracks out. come back with feedback [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A, Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least

Pilotasso
I had these exact same problems when my RAM suddenly failed........hope its something simple. Yeah I had same problems with my previous machine. Some viruses do it too, but they can be wiped out by doing safe mode, updating virus defenintions and then kill the SOB before booting normal mode. I point it to RAM problem, though, more probabble. NEODARK
yeah ram or anything else will do it too. thus why the EventViewer is the best way to diagnose it.
3Sqn_Sven
This is the stop error I've been getting from Eventviewer...I couldn't remember how to get safe mode running with XP but was able to get this stop error up anyway. The first one happened on booting up today, the PC reset on start up, then it went for 20 min and reset again (this has only happened twice, but both in the last week). 3Sqn_Sven
Hey guys I recently changed joysticks and unplugged my Thrustmaster Top Gun 2 USB HOTAS. I have not had a single reboot since! Previously it was a daily occurence. Interesting. 3Sqn - Largest distributor of Flanker, Fulcrum and Frogfoot parts in the Black Sea Region
