@Mbot : Do you think it's possible to put Cas, Sead and ground attack missions to the red side with escorts and sweeps. Do you think DCE can handle this ? Is it possible to neutralize a base with 70% of destructions instead of 100% ?(with <30 instead of ==0 )

Really enjoy the missions you have made MBot, any chance you'll be doing them for the Caucasus region?

 

Probably not from my side, as after 15 years I grew pretty sick about the Caucasus. I am looking forward to the upcoming new maps.

Well I'm trying to do the job (see the post above) with the Mirage 2000C as the main plane. It seems to work but I have still some work to release it ;)

Changing planeset should be easy after the first campaign release :)

May be someone else will release a Caucasus version before me :thumbup:

I've got a bug in the debriefing part of the mission : no debriefing text appears nor the window to ask to generate a new mission. The error message is pointing to line 676 of the Scripts\DEBRIEF_Text.lua file with a nil value :

if side[v].dead_last > 0 then

 

Not sure what it is.

Camp_Status.lua, MissionEventsLog.lua and scen_destroyed.lua are staying in the campaign's name folder after the end of a mission ...

(I modified the scriptingmission.lua as usual)

Building a campaign, almost done, but I have some problem with generating a first mission with the bat-file, no file is created. First there some scripting errors, like a missing ] or something similar. I fixed those, but now nothing happens. After selecting number of players, the cmd-window shuts down and no file is generated. Do I have to create a campaign within DCS first? But I cant do that without the miz-files. Is it a administrator problem? I can't generate a new mission with the F5 tiger campaign either, the cmd-window just shut down and no new file is generated.

The fact that you can't generate a new mission for the Tiger campaign either is curious. The cmd-window closes rather quickly, but usually displays some error message before doing so. If you are quick you can capture it with a print screen.

My own campaign : "Mirage over Caucasus" seems to work ... I need to test it and maybe to add more different targets.

I have a little problem in Vaziani with aircrafts sometimes colliding while taxiing :doh:

Where can I find the maximum aircraft number an airfield can accept on the ground (I had strange issues with static planes falling from the sky over bases and crashing everywhere : I had to change the max number of planes in squadrons to solve this) ?

Did you set a squadron as playable in the oob_air (player = true)? Are there any eligible loadouts and targets for the player squadron? Check that the loadouts have sufficient range to reach the targets and that they match any attributes requested by the target.

Yes!! It seems to work now. I forgot to put out " in the loadout file, example:

 

task = "CAS",

attributes = {"soft", "hard", "armor", "SAM", "lr"},

weaponType = "bombs",

expend = "All",

 

So when actually creating the campaign, I use the DCS campaign editor, with the mission files generated (first and ongoing)?

New problems :)

 

My flight explodes when starting the mission, all aircrafts. Some of them seems to be up in the air and burning pieces from them are falling from the sky. My plane is alive, but is burning. It actually looks pretty cool, but perhaps not what I wanted :D

 

Any ideas?

Better just copy the cmp file from an existing DCE campaign and adjust it with a text editor.

Perhaps the same problem that PB0_CEF has seen, not sufficient space at the airbase?

One question about multiplayer with DCE : Is there a way to show the flight plan to the human players to help them to see threats, targets and distances. Offline it's cool to prepare the mission with this tool but it's not there online ...

Maybe a semi automatic tool to make a screenshot of total flight plan and target area and to insert screens in briefing ?

There is no way I am aware of. Let's hope that ED will eventually make the Mission Planner available for multiplayer.
