Low GPU and CPU usage but LOW FPS also...why?

Recommended Posts

Quick update, On my GPU Tweak program There Is the option to "Always 3D Clock" to force the GPU to run at %100 Core, Memory. For some reason setting "Prefer Maximum Performance" in the nvidia settings doesn't work for mr, And so far its giving me the best FPS since this whole thing started only drops to 54-52fps now but more testing is needed.

After a few flight with the F-15 around Batumi all looks good so far, still don't get the solid 60FPS I was getting before but I'm back to "Playable" fps.

If others with identical systems run at higher fps it must be your settings?!

CPU (4770) usage 40% - yes, but that is leveled over 4 cores, one core 70 one 40 and the other about 25.

GPU (980ti) usage 40-70%, resolution 2560x1440, 144Hz Gsync monitor, fps 70-144.

Hey, Floyd. Would you mind uploading a screenshot of your DCS graphics settings page?

Thanks!

I am running lower setting (water medium, visibility range high, 1980x1080 and HDR off) and I have a GTX 980 but I get 45-50 around airports and 50-60 just flying around so I think your performance is pretty good, well at least it is compared to mine.

I am also running vsync.

Enabled in sim with application controlled selected in nvidia CP. without vsync the game is really jerky both above and below 60FPS.

I can fly around, look around with big cities, trees, buildings with 90 FPS. Then there are places like this one pictured on pause. Game is paused, i'm rotating my view/head towards ground... Could someone help me with this situation... ??? WTF:huh:

I have noticed this exact same problem I thought I was hallucinating. Glad I'm not. Dood example is the a10c hot start on runway mission look towards the mountains and frame rate slaughter.

The only thing I can do to make it playable is to use EVGA Pression KBoost feature (forces gpu usage to 100%). I have to enable pre-running the game and then run it.
