During a mission, the symbol POL comes on Hud and POL isn't selected... POL is blinking on the Hud. Here's two snap shots. Starting mission at 7:00:00 and pb around 7:50:00

You can't have ILS information on HUD even APP is pressed...

On another mission, when stop the M2000C, after stop battery, the fuel red light still active and it's the same for one of the INS led numbers. I've got the track to

More information....

POL blinking on the screen (for the 2 players).... nobody pressed the POL button but we use the master arm. For my part I pressed Master Arm/ON/OFF, non success... I pressed MAG (once or twice, but it was OFF initialy) and the POL disapear... the HUD displays the NAV informations. I think a pb on toggle Master Arm ON/OFF.

You'll also get the POL indicator on the HUD when you select fuel tanks (e.g. to jettison them), and also jettisoning a thing does not cause it to deselect.

Selecting the same store button again will deselect it, or you can just select something else twice.

The blinking indicator means you have something selected by master arm is off.

So, it's easy to reproduce this condition by ditching the fuel tank(s) and then disabling the jettison and master arm switches. There may be other ways, of course.

Not exactly....bur

You can see the 2 images above (except s2 gun...perhaps i've right, i will test again...). Nothing is selected and POL is blinking...

I think when put master arm off, all weapons must have an automatic OFF. Except if it's like this in reality.

Well,

POL is displayed after tank fuel jettisoned... after that, nothing is selected on the armement panel, RP disapears. When setting master amr on OFF, POL then blinking...

So, if I read you correctly, looks like POL is currently some kind of "default" mode?

It shouldn't be, AFAIK default mode for the 2000C is the NAV mode.

If you got a precise/reproductible scenario, let the testers know, I'm sure it will speed-up any fixing if needed :)

Easy to reproduce:

Just load any fuel tank. When in the air select RP button on PCA => Mirage automatically switches to POL mode (blinking on HUD when Master Arm off, steady when on). It only goes away when you deselect RP button.

When you drop the tank, lights on RP button go out but although you can't see it it is still selected => click on the button to get out of POL mode.

@spiddx : Yes

@Azrayen : I'm going to answer in French....

@NeilWillis: I'll translate the scenario (which is not unique, but anyway)

- take off with loaded RP522

- fly the time to empty it

- jettison it

=> POL is displayed on the HUD (bug?)

- when Master Arm is turned off (it was needed for sel. jettison), POL remains on the HUD (blinking now) and there is no navigation data displayed

=> pilots needs to click on the RP button on the PCA (well, the one that had RP before jettison, obviously), or to another PCA button (like MAG) to make POL diseappear.

What feels wrong (to me):

- the 'auto-POL' switching, like it's a default mode (I don't think it should be).

- the ability to disengage POL by clicking on a (now empty) ex-RP PCA button.

@sunski34: when I wrote "default mode", I meant that sometimes (this is what you describe), the system kind of "revert" to POL even when not "asked to" by the pilot.

I can't tell for sure (now) if this is correct, and I agree that it feels strange.

I'm not sure when I'll have time to check this further, though (RL constraints...); I hope testers will be able to.

Oh and by the way:

On another mission, when stop the M2000C, after stop battery, the fuel red light still active and it's the same for one of the INS led numbers. I've got the track to

This is already know & reported, thanks.

On a general note, it's easier to have one topic (with explicit title) per bug/issue ;)

@NeilWillis : Azrayen wants some more informations, he speaks french and for that particular case, I preferred answer in french, easier for me to give him better explanation of what I said... just to be more efficient.

I think the problem is that it carries the configuration of your previous game. So if you had POL selected in a game, quit and launch a new game, your Master Arm will be off, the RP will carry the config of the previous game and will be as selected. Being selected without the Master Arm will cause it to blink.

If I recall correctly, you will have the same behavior with the S530D. If you select it, quit and come back it will blink. The Radar lock and combat mode will be also carried from the previous game if you quit it while you are in those modes.

I'm not sure that's the case since all these other issues can be cured by restarting DCS. This one doesn't.

It simply switches to POL mode whenever you select RP button which it shouldn't.

I resolved this, selecting KL1 on the CAS panel (LeftCtrl+1) before turning off master arm

Well it was always reversable. You just have to click the RP button a second time whether it is illuminated or dark and you get out of POL mode.
