I had the same the problem and I solved it.

My log said this>

00000.037 ALERT SOUND: Can't init SND_Renderer. Consider updating the DirectX Runtime.

00000.037 ERROR SOUND: render init failed

00000.084 INFO SOUND: loaded 1074 sdefs from "sounds\sdef"

00000.113 INFO DCS: try to write dump information

So I ran directX setup from DCS World\distr folder. Also did msvcr repair, which is in the same folder. And I noticed my graphics card driver is not up to date, so I did upgrade too.

And it works now, one of those things helped, DX most probably

I´m very glad to hear your tip kilix.

Assumption is the mother of all screwups. I´ve assumed a new W7 install would include all DirectX runtimes but not. After installing DirectX all runs fine again.

Thanks a lot for respond and sorry for taking precious time for real crash problems, not old memory brain ones.
