Kreye
Hey guys, I read somewhere that you AOA should be around 14 degrees on landing. But where can i read my AOA? Where's the gauge for it?
TomCatMucDe
left of the HUD console, but it is not practical to look at it since you have to lean left to see you. If you activate the approach mode (APP in the PCA) you will see it on the HUD top left corner i believe. you will also see 2 brackets, if you place the FPM between the brackets you are around 14 deg of AoA
Azrayen
On the VTH (HUD) (2 times, one "fake"), or on your dashboard (need to move your virtual head, hence the fake). More details? I suggest you refer to Zeus's really nice job with the flight manual ;)

TomCatMucDe
here is a landing i did, the AO was ok and i tried to land it as shallow as possible. i try to put the end of the runway slightly below the horizon of the HUD, the brackets before the runway and the FPM on the beginning of the runway and in the end slightly pull to place the brackets on over the FPM. that s my technique and it works ok and the landing is rather smooth without a lot of stress on the gears. i hope it helps. Feedback is welcome Edit: it fast forwards in the beginning and then goes in normal pace. I apply the airbrakes only after touch down. in this way i dont need to use the pedal breaks at all, by 75% of the run way i am at 40 knts.Mirage landing.trk Edited January 4, 2016 by TomCatMucDe
