ARM505
I remember getting into the cockpit (read: greenhouse) of the DHC 6 Twin Otter I was supposed to fly the first day I got to the Sahara. The OAT read 55 deg C, 131 deg F. Lucky for me it was in the shade. Later I discovered I was about 70 km from the hottest permanently inhabited place on the planet, or so I was told at least. Whether that was true or not, it was still pretty warm!

That was realy hot, I coudn't beleive my eyes when i saw 51 report on TV. And my mom told me, she expereinced something like 62 in Sri Lanka in 1985, but I think it wasn't so hot, just TV people like to exaggerate. Its not unnusual in russia to be so hot in summer. Winters are ruthless and summers are deadly. Thats because its such a big land mass. A bit of sunshine and it turns into an elvon. Cobra360
It was 31.8C here yesterday. The hottest day on record ever for Ireland. And it has not rained here in three weeks straight which is amazing. So far we're having the best Summer weather of the last 10 years here, just shows how bad it normally is here.
