Well I would flank the US carrier with a couple of Ticonderoga-class cruisers and one or two OHP frigates trailing behind. For a Russian group you could assign the Moskva, the Neustrashimy, maybe an extra "Rezky"(Krivak-II) frigate and add an "Elnya" supply ship to make it look more like an actual carrier group. Unfortunately Lock-on currently lacks some important US and Russian ship types - particulary destroyers and actual "UNREP" ships - that would be necessary for realistic looking carrier groups.
