AIM 9

Before update we could alter the M2000c.LUA to get AIM9 onboard, after update this file is missing, where do I go to get AMI9 now ?

 

If its a bug I dont have this file "I did do a fresh install of M2000C" could some one please put it here for download

The M-2000C.lua you need is now in CoreMods/aircraft/M-2000C.

 

Don't copy the old one over as it has a bunch of other changed settings for the AI mirages.

 

Also, note that the chaff/flares are still bugged, so you need to set the increment= values on lines 176/177 to re-fix them, as such:

 

passivCounterm = {
	CMDS_Edit = false,
	SingleChargeTotal = 128,
	chaff = {default = 112, increment = 112, chargeSz = 1},
	flare = {default = 16,  increment = 16, chargeSz = 1},

Its AIM-9 because all big MP servers allowes those until original armant is fixed

It's also been said that if someone can find proof of the AIM-9M being compatible with the Mirage 2000, then Zeus would look into making it an official weapon as part of the loadout. Jojo is normally quite knowledgeable about such things, I wonder if he knows anything more on the subject.

Only found evidence of the - 9P... but the Indian Air Force did integrated the Russian R-73 in their Mirages.

Fab, thanks for the lua file! One thing, you'd placed the AIM-9M on pylon 8 / right wing instead of pylon 9..... pylon 1 is correct. :thumbup:

As far as I know:

- No AIM-9 on Mirage 2000, but any solid evidence is welcomed. (AIM-9 have been used on Mirage III and Mirage F1)

- I saw pictures of R-73 on Mirage 2000H :thumbup:

Is it possible as a temporary measure to simply get the R550 to use the AIM9 FM and weapons effects ?

Depends on how the mod was written.

 

Each available weapon for an aircraft consists of a line for that particular weapon station per weapon CLSID.

 

I believe the mod author didn't remove the Magic II line, so you could select either one. (That's how I implemented my version of it)

When I load the Aim9M onto the Mirage I get the Aim9 on the outter pod on the right wing with a S530 on the inner pod. On the left wing I can only select the Magic 550 on the outter, but can select either an Aim9, or S530.

Jep there's an error in the mod, but you can correct it easily yourself. Just open the file, delete the AIM-9 line for pylon 8 and add it to pylon 9. Save and you're good to go.

IIRC,ED had locked all lua files about weapons a long time ago. Thus, I don't think this will work for the latest OB.
