jef32
Hi Since the last update of yesterday, i have no trafic on the main street of Las Vegas. Cars and trucks are present on other street but absolutly no vehicles on the strip. in fact, on the other streets, the trafic is strictly reduced. All the main streets are deserted. SnowTiger
I noticed this immediately myself. Zero Vehicles anywhere. I re-edited my mission where I noticed CIV Traffic was no longer Checked. So I re-checked that option and set it back to Medium and flew again. There were very few vehicles in Vegas and still Zero on the Strip. BTW - I also didn't see (or at least I didn't notice/could not find) and new hotel/casinos on the strip OR any new airports on the map. I thought I read there were both additions with the latest update ? SnowTiger:joystick:

I thought I read there were both additions with the latest update ? No those were mentioned as being worked on to be included in a future update to 2.0. We continue working on improvements to the Nevada map that includes fixing bugs and implementing new features. The following will be available in the coming months: - Add Tonopah Air Force Base - Add additional casino/hotels to the Las Vegas strip - Add additional airfields and landing strips to the central (detailed) portion of the map - Add the National Training Center (NTC) - Improved grass and ground clutter - Other smaller improvements Edited January 16, 2016 by dburne Don B EVGA Z390 Dark MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.1 GHz | Gigabyte 4090 OC | 64 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz CL16 | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler |Virpil CM3 Stick w/ Alpha Prime Grip 200mm ext| Virpil CM3 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Base w/ Alpha-L Grip| Point Control V2|Varjo Aero|
jef32
I've looked at the mission but civil trafic was always on high, as before and for trying, i checked the forcing case. No way: Just 10 percent of the trafic i had before, no vehicles on the strip and the highways. Art-J
Inability to reduce civ traffic in previous version was annoying to say the least and I'm glad they started working on the issue, but looks like they overdid it somewhat :D. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. jef32
Sorry for the bad section to report the problem. This morning, new update available, downloaded and game launched: Disapointed, the 23 Mo update hasn't erased the problem. The traffic in the streets isn't back again. With no traffic, i dont feel the need to flying above LV, for the moment. Waiting for the traffic back again, i 'll return to fly, for the moment, on my FSX. Bourrinopathe
That's what happens when crazy people keep buzzing the strip with military jets! Also: I tried with different traffic settings and it didn't change a thing. Maybe they're implementing the different traffic settings or simply clearing the roads to build the new casinos ;) /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///

jef32
I begin to be a little annoyed. No news from ED about this problem and soon two weeks that i don't fly anymore above a post-apocalyptic LV. I hope that ED will resolve the problem very soon or giving us some official news about that. I'ts quite the minimal thing to inform customers. I begin to have the feeling of being punished. Bourrinopathe
DCS being a combat simulation, I think it's understandable the traffic is not at the top of the list. Just for the record: the rear vehicle lights were missing at first and they did correct the issue. ED knows we love flying the sim just for fun and they'll even be providing new casinos in the future. We just have to be patient. In the meantime we still can test our aerobatic skills over the strip. Just my two cents of course. /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///
jef32
DCS being a combat simulation, I think it's understandable the traffic is not at the top of the list. Sorry but a highly detailled town as they have made for LV, is not a absolute nescessity for a combat simulation, if you choose this point of view. If my favourite flying machine in DCS was a jetfighter, i wouldn't care about the road traffic in LV. It's not very important in high altitude. But DCS has sold some choppers, one of them, the Huey, is my favourite flying machine in DCS and choppers are made for flying on low altitude and relative low speed. And flying in low speed and low altitude above the desert streets of a such big detailled town, is unrealistic, especially when you have already seen that the traffic is implemented. I don't forget that it's an alpha version but it's not the same thing that if the traffic had never be implemented. I'm in right to think that it's just a little mistake because this traffic already exists. Surely not a big work to correct the problem. I don't know if you understand what i want to say. In exemple, the airliner traffic on KLAS is unrealistic too but has never been implemented. I can suppose that perhaps they're working about that and i can understand that it is a big work and i wait patiently as each others. But the road traffic problem is a big back step, with surely no big time to be corrected . CPU: I7-6700K 4Ghz, GC: nVidia GeForce Titan X Gigabytes, 32 Go DDR4, Motherboard: Gigabytes Z170X-Gaming 3. Bourrinopathe
Yes. Maybe something's gone wrong with a code line or something. I know the traffic settings were not implemented yet, so maybe it's something related. Or something completely different. I agree traffic is also important for the sense of scale and relative speed, especially for the helos. No idea how their workforce is assigned to the numerous tasks on the priorities list so I guessed, if it's not fixed and it was functional in an earlier version, it will be back soon. I like to think they're focused on more important things (not that traffic is not important). /// ВКБ: GF Pro MkII+MCG Pro/GF MkII+SCG L/Black Mamba MkIII/Gladiator/T-Rudder MkII | X-55 Rhino throttle/Saitek Throttle Quadrant | OpenTrack+UTC /// ZULU +4 /// /// "THE T3ASE": i9 9900K | 64 GB DDR4 | RTX 2080ti OC | 2 TB NVMe SSDs, 1 TB SATA SSD, 12 TB HDDs | Gigabyte DESIGNARE mobo ///
jef32
We discuss together about that but the aim of this topic is to advise the ED team that the road traffic in LV is really missing me and surely many other customers all around the world, and that i hope they read their forum and that they're doing what it must be done to erase the problem.
