Don't know why ED doesn't implement some clickable components, if not all of the startup components and emergency panel, to the current F-15C build. The switches and knobs already are animated in most cases, can't be that difficult to allow for the mouse to operate it instead of just keystrokes.

Not a lot goes into the startup sequence in the real thing, but would be nice if we had ability to follow the startup sequence in DCS as descibled below.

Startup proceedures (E model, but prob close to the C model):

Just wondering.

Why? Time, money, priorities ....

It's not enough to make some switches move when you click at them. It only makes sense if they actually DO something (meaningful). And for that, you need the systems behind them modelled. The functions the keyboard commands perform in a FC3 aircraft do not directly relate to single switches in the cockpit - so misusing a real switch to perform a FC3 funtion (that would require much more interaction in the real plane) is out of question if we want to keep the "hi-fi sim" aspect of DCS intact ...

Yea, I hear ya...time constraints are a pain. However, they could implement some clickable components in any event, like autopilot modes, gear, fuel gauge settings, nav modes ect...those components are animated in pit when activated, would be nice if those were at least clickable with the mouse. Although I'm sure ED would rather do it right than half-way.

Anyhow, maybe one day a high-fidelity F-15C....

Personally, I'd be fine with FC3-style avionics if they would give us basic TSD/DL functionality and better radar functionality.

But who doesn't want all out ASM F-15C, right? :D
